Yes. MiCOM Labs, Inc. is an A2LA-accredited testing and certification laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025 (Testing) and ISO/IEC 17065 (Certification).

Our reports are accepted globally under U.S. and Asia-Pacific Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs), allowing recognition across participating countries and markets worldwide.

As a Registered Certification Body for the U.S. (TCB), Canada (FCB), Europe (NB), UKCA, and Japan (RCB), we can both test and certify devices in-house for these key markets.

MiCOM Labs stands out because we focus narrowly — wireless, EMC, product safety and certification compliance services — but go miles deeper in capability. That specialization unlocks three core advantages:

Technical Depth & Experience — With over two decades in RF and wireless testing, we deliver advanced expertise that general-purpose labs can’t match.

Proprietary Automation & Cloud Platforms — Our patented MiTest® platform automates testing, delivers real-time data, and reduces time-to-market, while our MiCMS® certification system gives you full visibility and control.

Global Market-Access Coverage, Delivered Smartly — We provide certification support across major regions — North and South America, EU, UK, Japan, Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific — and combine that reach with a lean, focused approach for faster, consistent results.

In short: many labs try to be everything; we choose to be best at one thing — regulatory compliance for RF/wireless and non-wireless connected devices — and as a result, we achieve unmatched depth, speed, and global coverage for your certifications.

Absolutely. MiCOM Labs regularly supports emerging technologies and first-time applicants. Our compliance consultants can walk you through the entire process, from determining applicable standards and pre-test evaluations to final certification strategy.

For new or novel technologies, we engage directly with regulatory bodies (e.g., FCC, ISED) to confirm the most appropriate test approach and documentation requirements. This ensures your product follows the correct path to market approval without unnecessary testing or delays.

Yes. MiCOM Labs engineers can review your device design, features/technologies, and target markets to define an efficient test plan. This ensures all applicable standards are covered and helps avoid unnecessary testing later in the program.

Yes. We offer pre-compliance evaluations to identify potential EMC, RF, or safety issues early in the design cycle. This minimizes costly redesigns and accelerates time-to-market.

Yes. If your product has multiple configurations, firmware modes, or antenna options, these can often be evaluated under a single test program depending on variant similarity. Our team will determine the most efficient test and certification strategy.

Absolutely. Our technical team assists with root-cause analysis and provides clear recommendations to resolve non-compliance issues. Retesting can be arranged promptly once corrective actions are complete.

We test and certify a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to, wireless transmitters (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, Zigbee, LTE, 5G,etc), IT and AV equipment, industrial controls, IoT devices, and medical or consumer electronics.

Yes. We can perform custom evaluations or develop specialized test scripts through our MiTest® automation platform for unique regulatory or R&D requirements.

Yes. Expedited scheduling is available depending on chamber and engineer availability. Notify your Project Manager if you have tight launch or regulatory deadlines.

Yes. We manage re-certifications, modifications, and firmware or hardware change assessments. MiPassport® provides automatic alerts for expiring certificates and standards.

We accept wire transfers, ACH payments, and check. We do not accept credit card payments.  Payment instructions are provided with each quotation and invoice. Prepayment is required before testing begins, and the remainder is due upon completion at NET30

Yes. For large or immovable systems, MiCOM Labs engineers can perform on-site evaluations depending on the standard and device category.

All projects are handled under strict confidentiality. Test data and documentation are stored securely via encryption, and NDAs can be executed upon request to protect proprietary information.

Yes. We provide detailed guidance on required labeling formats, warnings, and regulatory marks (FCC, CE, IC, UKCA, etc.) to ensure full compliance in all target markets.

Please provide:

  • Product specifications
  • Type of technology i.e. RF/wireless or non-wireless operation
  • Power sources (AC/DC, battery, etc.)
  • Target certification markets
  • For wireless devices – provide frequency of operation and number of antennas

To begin, submit a purchase order (PO) for the quoted amount. Prepayment is required before testing can commence.

Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive a link to access the Online Product Questionnaire. This form must be completed in full, as it captures the technical and compliance details needed for your testing program.

Note: The information entered in the Online Product Questionnaire becomes part of your official test report and is automatically imported into our system. Please ensure all details provided are accurate and complete.

Reports and certificates are issued in English by default. Translated summaries can be provided for select regions upon request.

Yes. All calibration records are maintained under ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and can be reviewed during client or regulatory audits.

Yes. NDAs can be executed prior to project start to protect intellectual property and confidential design information.

All data and reports are stored on encrypted servers with restricted access. Our systems adhere to ISO 27001-level data security principles.

Yes. MiCOM Labs can perform testing and certification for Wi-Fi 7 devices that utilize Punctured Transmission. The resource below provides an overview of the technology, along with details about the applicable bandwidths and tests involved in the certification process:

Testing can begin once all required items are received and confirmed. Your assigned Project Manager will schedule test dates after the following are in place:

  • Purchase order

  • Equipment Under Test (EUT) availability

  • Prepayment received

  • Fully completed online product questionnaire

Once these requirements are met, testing will be scheduled and initiated.

Watch this short video to learn what is required to start testing.

Testing timelines vary depending on several key factors, such as the type and complexity of the product, its operating modes, the number of device configurations, and the target markets for certification. Each project is unique, and these variables directly influence the scope and duration of testing.

Once your documentation and samples are reviewed, your assigned Project Manager will provide a detailed schedule and estimated completion date based on the specific requirements of your product and applicable standards. This ensures accurate planning and helps you align certification activities with your product launch timeline.

If a failure occurs during testing, your assigned sales representative will contact you to initiate a Program Change Authorization (PCA). The PCA outlines the nature of the failure, recommended corrective actions, and any associated costs or adjustments required before retesting can continue.

This process ensures full transparency and gives you the opportunity to address the issue efficiently. Once the corrective actions have been agreed and implemented, retesting will be scheduled to verify compliance. Our goal is to help you move through the resolution process as smoothly as possible and keep your project on track for certification.

MiCOM Labs does not do SAR in house, but can performs MPE, and exposure assessments to meet FCC, ISED, and EU RED requirements.
